I get weekly emails from a website called Hungry Girl. If you have never heard of it you should check it out. There are tons of recipes as well as tips and tricks. Did I mention she breaks down the weight watchers points? Well she does and it is awesome! Here is a featured recipe this week. Less than 300 calories…yes please!

So obviously I have expressed my love for my crockpot… however have I also expressed my love for freezer meals? After I had my little girl I was trying to figure out how in the heck I was going to balance cooking everyday. So I took to the google machine and I found this swanky thing called freezer meals. Can I just say 1-2 hours of your time prepping turns into 10-20 complete set it and forget it meals… well sign me up!!! Here is the the basics of what I follow. Mainly consists of five ingredients.

So I know its late in the month, but this is probably my all time favorite month! It is CROCKTOBER! I love my Crockpot! Winter , Spring, Summer, or Fall… oh to the Crockpot I go! This is my go to appliance. One of my all time favorite recipes is salsa chicken. The recipe… well it is just as easy as it sounds… salsa and chicken. 2 cups salsa and two pounds chicken breast/ thighs are all you need for this little gem! Pretty simple right? And better yet, its healthy (weight watchers approved) , and versatile . You can use this chicken for salads, wraps, or just eat it by the forkfull. So dust off that Crockpot and set it and forget it!
